NIGERIA 2027 POLLS: APC TO BE VOTED OUT, SAYS PDP’s Olawepo-Hashim Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, presidential aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be voted out of power in the 2027 general election, asserting that no legal or administrative maneuvers can derail Nigeria’s multiparty democracy. Hashim, a veteran of Nigeria’s pro-democracy movement, accused the ruling party of engaging in legal and institutional actions intended to weaken opposition participation ahead of the polls — describing the moves as part of a broader pattern that threatens democratic competition. He warned against any drift toward authoritarianism, urging Nigerians and the international community to remain vigilant in defending democratic norms and institutions. Despite current challenges, he expressed confidence that Nigerians would peacefully remove the APC from power through the ballot in 2027.
